HISTORY OF Laghouat
Laghouat is considered the gateway to the desert and is 400 km away from the capital. It is bordered to the north by the states of Tiaret and Djelfa, to the south by the state of Ghardaia, to the east by the state of Djelfa, and to the west by the state of El Bayadh. It occupies an area of 25,052 square kilometers and includes (10) ten districts. and 24 municipalities, with a total population of 219 716 people (2020 census).
